Included in the purchase of a Svalinn dog, you receive a personalized training package. Because every K9 Owner has unique requirements, we tailor each delivery training session according to your particular living situation, specific needs, daily routine and potential security threats.
The delivery of your new best friend includes 5 days of bespoke training, often broken into two training blocks.
During the initial delivery and training, we teach new handlers the commands and sequencing they will need for basic obedience. Sit, stay, lay down, come, and so on—they’re all covered. We emphasize the basics to build a high level of confidence and trust with your dog during the training. We progress to performing these commands in a variety of situations and environments meant to mimic the day-to-day situations at home and in public.
The follow-on training (30-45 days later) reinforces basic obedience, sequencing of commands, tone, and vocal intent. Once a level of bond and confidence has been established between the dog and their new family, we practice multiple protection scenarios.
Svalinn requires annual re-certification training through the first 10 years of your dog's life. This ensures that your handling skills and your dog's skills remain sharp.
Training above and beyond the initial training package is available upon request and is a fee for service.
